About Me

My passion for music was cultivated when the choirs from the local high school performed at my middle school assembly in order to recruit new students. I was in awe of the choirs, especially the Chamber Singers who sang everything from classical to pop music. Once the assembly was over my teacher asked the class if anyone was interested in being in the high school choir program. I was the only one to raise a hand. My teacher, who had a shocked look on his face since I was the shyest kid in the class, said “Good for you Tina, I know you can do it!” And with that, I began my musical journey.

During 20 years of teaching, in addition to the technical side of teaching music foundations and technique, I also strive to make lessons fun and exciting, so that students of all ages will want to continue their music education to some extent, for the rest of their lives.

Each student has a different personality, background, goals and pace in which he or she learns. I tailor each lesson to fit each individual student’s needs. With encouragement and nurturing I can help the most timid child, or adult student grow in confidence and self-assurance.
